Surat Annas and protection from Evil

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ (1) مَلِكِ النَّاسِ (2) إِلَهِ النَّاسِ (3) مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ (4) الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ (5) مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ   6 )
   

Introduction:

Surat Annas is the last Surah of the Holy Quran and its number is 114. It contains 6 verses talking about the protection from Shyateen by Allah. This Surah and Surah al Falaq are called Al Mu’awwidhatayn. Transliteration Surat Annas: 1. Kol auzu birabin nas. 2. Malikin nas. 3. elahin nas. 4. Me shariel waswasoul khannas. 5. Alladhi youwaswesu fe sodoorin nas. 6. Menal jennati wan nas.

Translation _ Sahih international:

1. Say “I seek refuge in the God of people”. 2. He is the king of all people. 3. The Lord of all people. 4. Refuge from the evil of Obsessive whisperer. 5. Who Whispers into people’s hearts. 6. From Jinn and people. Name of Surat Annas: The name of this Surah comes from the Arabic word “annas” which means mankind or people.

1. The value of Surat Al Falaq, and Surat Annas: Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) described them as nothing is great as them. 2. Al moawwedhateen are the best: When the Prophet has asked Mo’z ibn Abdullah to recite Surat Al Falaq, Surat Annas, and Al Ikhlas in the Morning and in the Evening 3 times to be protected from any Evil. 3. Reciting it before sleeping: The great Prophet (SAW) used to recite Surah Al Falaq and Surat Annas and blow into his hands, then wipe his hands over his body.

A simple explanation of Surat Annas:

1. Say “ I seek refuge in the God of people”. I ask refuge in Allah who is the God of all people. 2. He is the king of all people. He is also the king of this kingdom. 3.The Lord of all people. Allah Almighty is the God of mankind. And these 3 verses praise Allah and glorify him, as he is the only owner of these creatures. Allah has created everything and so, he is worthy of Worship. 4.Refuge from the evil of Obsessive whisperer. People do sins because of Shyateen as they decorate the sins for them to commit. Allah hates these sins and he becomes angry when he sees his servants do this. So, your only protection from these sins is Allah as he is the only creator. 5.Who Whispers on people’s hearts: It is known that Shaytan puts his hand in the heart of the man, if they forget Allah he completes his work and overcomes the heart, but if there is no answer he removes his hand. This is the summary of its work towards mankind. 6.From Jinn and people. Jinn are also God’s creatures, some of them are good and others aren’t.
